Help!!1998 Ez go txt... Wont go

I recently bought a 98 ez go txt. Lift kit just had custom work done a great ago. Batteries were dead when I bought it so I changed them.. All new! It wouldn't go, I tried putting a new silonoid on... Still nothing. I hear a click from the peddle when I push down. I hear nothing from the silonoid. I've ran the volt meter and im getting power to the solenoid. My lights work as well but it not going... Helpppp

we are confuse.....you said you hear the "CLICK" and then you say you hear nothing from the solenoid?......the CLICK is the solenoid activating.....so which is it.....does the solenoid CLICK when you push on the peddle or not.

IF you get the CLICK your activation circuit is working, so the issue is in the High Current circuit, in other words, the large cables.

When I press the pedal and I hear the click, to me it sound like it's coming from underneath.. Not the solenoid. I may be wrong but I just don't hear anything from the solenoid.

Sounds like you are hearing the pedal switch click - not the solenoid. You need to trace out the circuit and look for a broken connection. Did this cart work when you bought it? It is very likely that the controller has failed now.

It didn't run when we bought it, was told it did last summer but needed batteries replaced. So we did that and im facing this problem.

Sounds like it needed more than batteries. :-( Maybe a controller.

I would check to see if your getting voltage at the small terminals on the solenoid when you are pressing the pedal. If not you need to check the activation circuit, which is reed switch, forward micro switch, pedal switch, Key switch and all the wires in between. Is the forward and reverse switch on the dash or down by your legs?

Also if it is a DCS cart it could be a bad forward micro switch.

The forward and reserve is down by my legs
