About to buy an EZ GO - Questions
Looking at a few different electric EXGOs for my first cart and had a couple questions:
1. Are there better years as far as reliability/quality build? 2. Excuse my ignorance, but does it make any difference if the FWD/REV is a button on the dash vs the knob under the drivers seat? Thank you!! |

Re: About to buy an EZ GO - Questions
Yes and yes.
The 1996 and up TXT platform is the most common and most preferred Ezgo. Meaning there are more accessories and upgrades available for it. There were a few different drive systems offered on the TXT platform. Series drive and a few Sepex drive. The difference between the various drive systems could be a long explanation but I'll keep it simple here; series drive is the workhorse system good for heavy loads, hills, and slower operations. All the other drive systems (DCS,PDS,TXT48 ) fall into the Sepex drive system category and they are all NEV type carts best at transporting people. They are basically faster than a series cart and heat up under slow work and heavy loads unless seriously upgraded. Re: About to buy an EZ GO - Questions
RXV's are the newest drive system.
They have f/r selection at key. RXV's have the best stock speed and power. Lots of aftermarket accessories, 1 factory power upgrade, no practical motor/controller upgrades (other than the 1 factory upgrade) Superior performance on hills (stock compared to stock) |
