Default Help with Ez go medalist that won't go.

Trying to help friend with this cart. 36v to top of controller 36v to right post of controller and to right side of solenoid. Micro switches on floor has good continuity. When stepping on pedal solenoid clicks so does floor switches. Lost from here. Please help.

just had the exact same issue. Mine was the solenoid, clicked but was so burned internally no amperage could pass. I would try jacking the rear of the cart up off the ground, key on, peddle down, putting it in forward, and jumpering the large posts of the solenoid with jumper cables. If it goes, the solenoid is bad.

My buddy went to pick up a seloniod just in case we did this and it was the problem. Golf place said not to jump this model that it would cause more damage. Now he won't try it. Any other way of testing seloniod.

jumping it is the exact same as it engaging. I mean just touch it to see, yes it will spark but if the wheels move thats it.

or just pay the $30 for a new one and try it.

Tried jumper solenoid nothing happened. So am I to assume the solenoid is good and there is something else wrong.

If you jumpered the 2 large solenoid terminals together and the cart did not run the solenoid is not suspect. Jumping the solenoid bypasses it and we can conclude it is not the source of your problems.
Follow the 7 tests below for DCS drive system. Let us know where the cart differs from the test results.
