Question Dim Headlights

One of our folks has an EZ-GO with halogen headlights in a light bar that suddenly went dim. Brake lights are fine. Doesn't make sense to me that both bulbs would dim if only one is bad. Anything I ought to check before I start replacing bulbs?

Start by checking the circuit voltage.

8 out of 10 times a dim bulb is a result of a bad ground. That can be anywhere in the ground leg, from the socket to the battery. Check the socket for corrosion, ground wire connections and if it is grounded to the chassis, make sure there is no rust there.

Where did you find these stats ? I'd like to see what numbers they have on other cart related issues.

Never, I repeat NEVER ground to the chassis on a golf cart. ALWAYS ground to the negative side of the battery or a ground block connected to the negative side of the battery.
