Default 2010 Ezgo Rxv Jerking rapliy slow then fast

I have a 2010 Ezgo rxv that goes and stops and goes and stops, it speeds up andslows down in reverse and foward. I replaced the batteries with new trojans. Im trying to see were to began. Motor braking, Speed sensor, Throttle Sensor. like i mentioned it takes off then starts bucking and jerking like crazy slows down then speeds up and keeps doing this. Please some insight would be great.

soumds like an encoder problem to me (aka tach sensor). problem is that the only way to look at the signal is with an ocilloscope.remove rear cover from bagwell area and see which type you have, one is inside the motor in the motor bearing farthest from the axle, the other is a black sensor right next to the axle flange where the motor bolts up. the one nearest the axle flange is known for problems in the plug & short wire leading into the sensor. if you hooked it up to a scope, its signal must look like this. this 'scope is available in kit form for about $20 if you wanted a cheap scope for testing stuff.

i looked yesterday and it appears the 4 pin wiring goes under the back square leading in to the motor. So im sure its inside. im using a scanner today when i get home but its not a ocilloscope. Hoping it can throw a code.

My codes are 25104, 25106, 9024, 21520 if this will help narrow down what the cause could be. Encoder defiantly built in

CG, where do you get that kit from? Is there a part number, or what is it called?

thanks

http://www.banggood.com/DSO138-DIY-D...p-1051616.html . Heres the info. the price went up some, cheapest kit is now $21. this $28 kit includes a case, get it (was not offered when i got mine). the tiny SMD chips are soldered for you, all the rest of the resistors & connectors & such you solder yourself (about 30 minutes of real good fun, if you ask me). no special tools needed, just a decent soldering iron & a little time to assemble (might be able to get it fully assembled, or talk to your local nerd, he/she will tell you its "china junk", then get all happy to show off his/her soldering skills). its cheap, and has worked perfect for me in cases where a $$$$$ high resolution, high speed, precision 'scope is not needed (like monitoring sensors on a RXV). also, it can run off a typical 9v battery (mine included that connector too), truly portable.

Cgtech is there a snap ring behind the plate the encoder is mounted on? It's getting late and dark and from what I can see it appears there's a snap ring holding it in place.? Or does it pull off

Yea, the encoder was not the problem. Feels like the brake is applying on and off. Could it be the brake or solenoid.

the brake is a pretty simple device, a spinning (or locked) disc, an electromagnet ring, some springs to hold the disc locked with the steel plate, & a steel plate that is pulled away from the locked disc by the electromagnet ring. i have seen the disc slip, i have seen it lock & fail to open (lever style brake). i have never seen it "turn itself off & on". but if you have the lever style brake, i would be suspect of it, it was by far the most troublesome version of the motor brake. if you have the lever style brake & are considering replacing it, you could take it apart & remove the lever & cam (manual unlock) portion to see if thats your problem. wanna post a pic of your solenoid & motor brake?
