Ezgo Marathon creeps forward or reverse without accelerator being pressed
I have a 1984 Ezgo Marathon 36 Volt that creeps in forward or reverse with the key on, but without the accelerator being pressed. I have recently replaced the resistor coils and wiper board and arm because the arcing had damaged the old contacts, causing the cart to work only at high speed. With those two thing replaced, it works great now, except for the creeping in forward or reverse. Any ideas?

Make sure the wiper arm is returning to the first post/bottom on the wiper board, with nothing on that lug

Sounds like something isn't adjusted or wired right. The man solenoid should not allow any current flow when the pedal is all the way up. All solenoids should be off at that point.

I checked and the wiper arm contact returns back to the first position and there is nothing wired to that post.

Re: Ezgo Marathon creeps forward or reverse without accelerator being pressed
I noticed that the other end of the wiper board opposite of the contact end is supposed to engage a microswitch when the accelerator pedal isn't pressed. Well, the arm is missing the micro switch engagement slightly because of a misplaced thick washer on my part when attaching the wiper board (it is swinging barely left of it). Could the non-engagment of this microswitch be what is making it want to creep when the pedal is NOT pressed?
