Default Noisy, rattle 2012 RXV front end, not a-arm bushing

I trying to quiet my cart. I thought it was the a-arm bushing. I bought new bushings and was going to install but they seem to be fine. I noticed a lot of play where the spindle attaches to the strut assemble. It moves up and down in the assembly not back and forth where the king pin fits into the spindle. Should there be any play vertically? should the spindle be able move up and down or should be very tight in the assembly?

normal culprits 39,37,38 or 6 and 8

Should have very little up/down play (6 and 8 )

i have seen many #6 & #38 too long, too much slop. we have to check them often & sometimes shorten them a little (VERY little, too short & it will bind when steering).

If memory serves me, I would say #6 is to short in my case, I looked at this a couple weeks ago. That is where all the play is. It's looks like a thicker #7would be the fix if it goes inside the yoke(?). Maybe someone tried shortening it (#6) and went to far. Could I put a washer in to see if that helps, it seems excessive play in that area to me. Could the yoke(?) get stretched over time?

#6 too short = binding suspension, not too much slop.
