2009 EZGO 2 red flashing lights on chargerr

i have read many post here but have yet found an answer to my question
the other day my cart just shut down for a minute then started working again.
Trojan batteries were older and not holding a good charge one of the batteries was showing less voltage than the others
plugged in the charger and got 2 red flashes which means under charged or over charged
replaced all 4 12V batteries with brand new ones and meter shows 50 volts.

ran cart for a couple of days and meter shows 2/3 charge still and plugged in charger and still have 2 red flashes.
all terminals are tight clean all wiring in excellent shape no fuses that appear to be blown and cart runs great

does anyone have an idea here

charger is shot. I have seen these 2 red lites many times, if you can borrow someones known good charger to try, you will see.

Throw that thing away and get a dpi charger.
