Xi-500 36v solenoid resistor question
Hello,
I have a 98 xi-500, # A55540 36v Controller- curtis Model-1205-112 #7287-446335 Pick this cart up by chance, was sitting for a few yrs. batteries were dead. Charged them up and im showing 33v. Maybe one cell is bad somewhere? Installed a new solenoid but used old resistor and diode, when i check it im showing 33v at red post but not at black post. I think it should be 3v less than red post. Also the resistor is hot to where i can feel it. Would this cause the cart not to move? |

Re: Xi-500 36v solenoid resistor question
Batteries sitting for a few years are probably toast. 33v is dead. Even if they said 36 that's still bad and they probably would not hold voltage under a load.

Re: Xi-500 36v solenoid resistor question
ok, ill slap some new batteries in it next just to be sure.
would the low voltage be a reason for the solenoid not clicking and the resistor getting so hot? I checked the micro switch next to the solenoid on the potentiometer and it has continuity and clicks. |
