Default new to site have charging problems

cant find my charging problem 94 ezgo marathon with new batteries. voltmeter on charger goes backwards when turned on. batteries move cart, but wont charge

What is the voltage as measured at the cart charge receptacle? Did you remember to attach the charge wire to the Main Pack Positive?

If it started after you changed batteries you have it miswired somewhere.

That sounds like your problem, you have your polarity reversed.

replaced my old volt/ohm meter and discovered the batteries i just bought are 12, not 6v. DUH! no where on the battery does it state the voltage. never trust the salesman.

Well yea...that would definately do it. This is the first time I've seen 12's get swapped in place of 6's. Its always 8 volters or vise versa.

welcome to BGW. i have heard of it but the batteries dont last as long between charges.at least thats what i was told by a battery guy.(not a salesman).i am sure u could sell them?

gonna take em back tomorrow and exchange. have a digital camera, but dont know how to get a picture on here. but ill be back with more problems . also fighting a cranky blower motor on my furnace, but it gives me something to do.

Whatever happened to counting cells (caps) on a FLA?
3 = 6v
4 = 8v
6 = 12v

???????
