Default Tire size question

I have stock golf cart tires on my TXT.

I have good speed and good torque with what I have...for where I drive the cart.

I have XCT400 controller and 2 gauge cables.

If I put on 215/40-12 Viper Low Profile Tires... will this change my setup much?

Just want some fancy tires now.

barely will reduce it. Factory tire size is 18"s tall and you will be going to an 18.8" tall tire. I wont do the math to tell you how much you will reduce your torque by but seeing as you have a 400amp controller I personally don't think you will notice a difference. Width is also the same as stock so that wont suck more power having more rubber on the road.

Starting to question is 18 big enough.

My stock tires just look too small, you know...just like stock tires.

Everytime someone post their pictures of the cart with low profile tires, they just look bigger than stock than stock. Maybe the larger rims make them appear bigger.

the majority of "upgrade wheels/tires" you see on here are in fact bigger than stock. and they fill out the wheel openings better than puny stockers.
