Default Reversing contactor, and SPM48500EZ installation. Blue wire left.

Hey everybody,

Yes, I have read where it says to connect the blue wire to the red wire during the reversing contactor installation. Problem is, I completely gutted out the cart, and performed a 36 to 48 volt conversion at the same time, with an SPM48500EZ, reversing contactor, and voltage converter . Although I have the wiring diagram, I have the blue wire from the key switch not connected to anything. I don't know what I need to connect it to. I currently don't get any light on the SPM48500, and no clicking of the solenoid, or the contactor.
Thanks for any help.

I am guessing that this is the "Blue wire" that is supposed to be connected to the red wire.
I just need to know where that **** "Red wire" ended up hiding.

In other words, What the hell do I attach the blue wire to?

Connecting the two together is to supply power to the key switch. Guess I need to read the instructions again.

I'm trying to figure out where to connect the blue wire to exactly.
I do understand it needs to be connected, it is just to what exactly?

Originally - the key blue wire and the battery (+) source were on the F&R micro switch. Simply connect the blue key wire to the B(+) source. (it was a red wire in most TXT carts)

In other words - connect the key switch blue wire to battery main (+)

Scotty,
Thanks. Would that be full pack voltage of 48 to connect to? The same positive that my main cable is on?

Got power to the SPM48500 but something is not right.
When the throttle is pressed, the main solenoid clicks, then drops out. The fan comes on immediately, and then the LED flashes green/red indicating short circuit. I have removed, and reset the power to the controller to clear it, but it just does the same thing every time.
Does this mean a short circuit inside of the controller itself?

It could be one or 2 of the high amp cables are not in the right locations.
