Default High/Low Speed Switch from 2Five for RXV

Does anyone know if it's possible to retrofit the High/Low Speed Switch from the 2Five into the RXV? I'd love to be able to limit the speed at times. I can't seem to locate a 2Five wiring diagram anywhere.

i dont think the switch & plug to motor controller would be the problem. i think the problem would be that the Rxv controller software only has one mode, not 2. rxv software is proprietary, adding second mode may not be possible while running stock software.

Gotcha, I thought the controller was identical for the 2five, just minus the burn off resistor and associated settings. You think an inline resistor for the accelerator position sensor might work? Limit voltage, hence limit top speed?

Btw, cgtech, I figured out how to increase the rxv top speed, but your secret is safe with me. :)

I would think that would work. Of it was a switchable route for the current

Define 'mode'. Technically speaking the RXV has 5 operation profiles. Airport, Freedom and 3 'hill type' golf modes coastal mild and steep similar to the Sepex 1206HB control. Assuming you have a curtis control.

I am looking at diagrams for both Curtis and Danaher versions but not seeing a high/low switch on either one. Where is this thing located physically?

He said from the 2Five into the RXV...implying there is a switch present on a 2Five, which is the one I am not seeing.

While we are generally on the topic, does anyone know what the difference is between the various modes? Also are they on the Curtis controller only, or the Danaher also?

Oh I see. I thought you were saying you don't see a switch on RXV

Airport is limited to approx 8mph, Freedom is 19.5. The golf modes are about 15mph and have various regen settings. Coastal has none, mild has a medium regen, and steep hills has heavy regen. This is for the Curtis, I am sure the danaher has something similar but I'm not certain of the details.
