Default does anybody have a good way of getting batteries out of a cart?

Since there is going to be a battery change in the near future, I have bee trying to figure an easier way to get the batteries out and back in the cart.

I have some spar bar 3x3 square bar with holes every 2 inches- I was thinking to get the $9 rope hoist at harbor freight and build a small gantry to pull and replace the batteries.

My Neighbor heard my shoulder pop,(m both shoulders have torn rotator cuffs) the other day and he offered to pull a battery for me. I can't wait for my son or neighbor- so this little gantry could fold up - the rope hoist says it is good to 400 pounds

what do you folks use? when not using the hoist, for removing batteries, I could use it to hang deer, pick up other heavy stuff ? LOL
thanks

The problem with that is the roof is in the way. I actually got one of the Gantry from Harbor Freight just for doing batteries in the RXV carts and it sits in the corner most of the time because it's a pain in the neck to have to remove and replace the roof every time I want to change a cart's batteries.

I took a bungee cord with the metal s hooks and held close to the hooks and hooked the slots and lifted out. Bad shoulders would prove a problem.

I use a battery lifting strap, but I have no probs with my rotators, also if anyone uses one of the lifting straps that have rivets holding the metal lifting
fingers on keep a close watch on the rivets, I didn't and it cost me a new battery

Are you talking those grabber tongs like I used at the auto parts store when I worked there? The ones that use friction gripping jaws just under the top lip of the case and use the batteries weight and gravity to hold it?

Most batteries have a place to hook a lifting strap to them. Ask for help if you can't lift them yourself. They are about 55 pounds each.

I've been toying with the idea of a mini engine hoist, or something like a lawn tractor or ATV wheel lift. A solid mast and boom would drop into a socket in the base and a boat trailer winch mounded on the mast with 2 pulleys in the boom. Casters would be re-purposed from a small HF moving dolly (you can't buy the wheels for less). The boom at the right height would just slip under the roof. It would break down to 2 pieces and hang on the wall. (patent pending)

no it's a lifting strap rubber/plastic? hooks into the tabs on each side of the battery

the thing I am thinking about would have to be no higher than the roof-it would fit inside the cockpit, maybe 4 feet tall just as wide as the floorboard
straight bar going across the top- with the holes in the sparbar- it would be easy to move it to the drives side or passengers side
