Default Ezgo PDS with lift issues

So over the last couple of years I have added a 5" all sports lift, 12" black steelies with 22" tires a voltage reducer for accessories, and a rear seat to my cart. About year and a half ago I got 6 new powertron batteries ( batteries show 36.6 after a full charge earlier today) and maintain the water levels and charge appropriately. My issue is I can't get a lot of run time out of this cart. I maybe could get 9 holes in, but I'm not brave enough to try it. Most we do with it is about a mile round trip up to the ball park and it feels like it's dying on the way back. I know that's not correct so what could some of my issues be with my 2002 cart. Are the related to the controller? Is it all related to the added weight of the seat and larger tires? I can't imagine either of those would kill it that fast. I do have materials to make 2 gauge battery cables just haven't done it yet. Any help would be appreciated guys I need this thing o turn around or I'm gonna have to ditch it

36.6 is a problem, fully charged they should read over 38v. at 36.6 you're near the needs to be charged now level. If you run them below about 36.3 you'll shorten your battery life. Do that often or leave them there or below and you'll kill them quickly.

How do I test them to see if batteries are issue?

The easiest way is to install a digital in dash battery voltmeter. If you haven't got one of them YET you will
Meantime you can tape or otherwise rig your handheld digital multimeter to the pack mains and drive. Preferably up hill with vigor and see how low the pack drops.

I would charge them a few times back to back. Then wait a few hours (after the charger is off) and then see what the voltage is.

I have an in dash (actually I think it's yours or one of the vendors on here) that is where I got the 36.6 after unplugging the charger. With that being said what am I looking for when I take off in the cart? I don't have any hills here around the house.

It should not go below 31 volts at full pedal. (Fully charged)

Could not upgrading the controller have anything to do with it or does it seem like I just got a set of batteries I'm getting no life out of?

Yes your high reading is too low. "batteries show 36.6 after a full charge earlier today" this is terrible as 36 is 50% charge or ready to be charged. and full well see the chart attached and note:
The readings listed are 12 to 24 hours AFTER the charge. What we call a settles reading or the voltage the pack can actually HOLD without dropping further.

So I just ran out to look at cart and it is reading at 37.2 now. Which still isn't good. I'll get it out and run it in the morning to see what it's dropping to. I'm trying to figure out when my batteries were made in case of warranty. What am I looking for. Terminal has c5 on one and they also have ca215p on all of them as well. Do I have a warranty issue I need to take up with the people I bought batteries from?
