Reverse buzzer connections with reversing contactor installation
Just curious as to where to pull the power and ground to the reverse buzzer.
It is a series cart converted to 48 volt, with the reversing contactor setup. Do i just parallel with the solenoid connections for the reverse solenoid? Also, on one other note. I have an orange wire left from my wire loom. I believe the other end of it actually is attached to the SPM48500EZ molex connector. Should I just terminate the unused spade end as an unused lead? Thanks for any help. |

Re: Reverse buzzer connections with reversing contactor installation
So the buzzer will work fine at 48v? I assume so.

Re: Reverse buzzer connections with reversing contactor installation
A little electrical tape wrapped around mine, has kept it at a nice volume for years.
Your still aware when it is in reverse. But, not the entire block is aware of it. |

Re: Reverse buzzer connections with reversing contactor installation
Scotty,
Just a note. I ended up pulling a lead direct from the battery pack (constant hot) to the center pin of the F&R rocker switch, without a jumper. I then ran 2 leads from the "R" side of the open side of the switch to both the buzzer, and the orange connection that was stated to terminate. This way, I have half speed reverse on my SPM48500EZ, and my buzzer is on anytime the switch is placed in the "Reverse" position. Otherwise, it would only be powered up when the reverse solenoid would be activated with the pedal/throttle pressed. Mine works great now. Very happy with the 48 volt upgrade. |

Re: Reverse buzzer connections with reversing contactor installation
You can set half speed in the programming of the controller. But that jumper wire was probably faster.
I need to go into mine and set the reverse speed slower and throttle curve if you can, it will about throw you through the windshield in reverse. |
