what are these two wires for?
what are the red and purple wires for? 2013 ezgo rxv. i will be installing a light kit.13716189_10210089255249422_8783938853318895479_n.jpg

Most likely:
Red - Power Brake Light Relay Purple - Brake lights. This is directly from the FSM wiring diagram. Red wire is connected to a common shared 48V positive wire distributing power to multiple locations, to include but not limited to such things as the state of charge meter, keyswitch, throttle switch, brake switch, etc. The purple comes straight from the controller and goes to the brake lights. It is a 15V output from the controller to the brake lights. Hope that helps. |

Do NOT USE THESE WIRES TO POWER LIGHTS !!!!!!
These wires are for FACTORY LIGHT KIT BRAKE LIGHT RELAY ONLY...... Attempting to use them to power lights can result in controller failure.. a $1,000+ mistake. Aftermarket light kits should not be attached to factory wire harness. |
