Default Alltrax updates

Alltrax updates are coming at an incredible rate for the new XCT and SR controls. If you have this control I advise you update both the toolkit and your control. Version 3.1.5 is here. There are new features available in the program. Exciting shift on the fly software too. All of this is free with your Alltrax control. Many new field maps available too. The latest field map is unimap-v1. Alltrax says this unimap works with all sepex motors and will enhance performance for many stock motors. I'll be installing this map in my test cart.

Connect the control to the internet with your laptop and you will be prompted to download updates for the tool kit. You will need to open and 'allow' this new toolkit version to run. I had to close the toolkit before it would update. Once I reopened the controller updated and the field map updated next. Lots of new features. I will be installing the FNKS later.

Nice! Is this the feature you were talking about to allow you to switch between different modes. Like a kids mode and adult mode?

For those of us with 'older' controllers, it looks like there is a plug 'add-on' harness that you can splice into the existing wire harness that goes to the large plug. It looks like that is an easy fix, can you post that info here? Is the harness included with purchase of the controller??
Thanks,
Henri

Interesting. To switch between kids and adult, do you have to hook to a computer or is there some way to do it with just an added switch? I wouldn't mind if the run/tow switch became a kids/adult switch. (I realize one of them would have to have no regen so you could tow it.)

If you have the correct field map for your motor, is there a benifit to installing the "uni-map"? (I'm not switching controllers between carts)

I have a question for cart owners with the XCT on the PDS. Now that the cart goes so fast, do you notice the regen allot more? What I'm referring to is, you stab the gas and the cart is quickly going 20+, then you let up on the throttle and your thrown forward. You didn't really want to slow down, just not excellerate any more. I wish the regen only came on when I pushed the brakes. I'm considering turning the regen off completely. It didn't matter before the cart went so fast.

I thought I heard folks talking about turning down the rate of regen so you did not get such a hard braking feature? I probably have misunderstood what I read though.

Please start separate threads with questions not directly related to the new Alltrax updates.

Thank you Johnnie. It would be nice to build a data base here where Alltrax users could compare what they have loaded to what's currently available.
Which brings to mind several field map updates which many of you may not be aware of. In which case you may be running a map which was superseded by a better suited map in terms of performance or lower motor temps. or both.

I'm not ready to start posting field maps here so I will ask you to call or email Alltrax (or the motor manufacture) for the latest map for your aftermarket motor.

The D&D 501 & 502 motors are now sharing a version (v) 6. Many of you are running v1 or 3. Call D&D & get updated.
The Admiral (Redhawk) MOT motor series have been updated as follows: (call Alltrax)
A2-v4
A4s-v3
B2-v3

Updates for both software and controls available now. Plug the laptop into the control while on-line for automatic updates. New software updates include Shift on the Fly FN switches and new field maps for better cooler performance.

It's been a couple of months. Lots has happened. Software version 3.2 available. One addition with this version is the shift on the fly program for SR and XCT controls. There is an interactive picture link in the program if you need to read up on the new personality switches.
New field maps including a Uni-map1 which as it sounds like will work with any Sepex motor... and actually must have been written to correct the IQ_V3 problem because it works great with the OEM IQ motors. New versions for field maps for all Admiral motors. These are V3 & V4 depending upon the motor. Contact your dealer or Alltrax for current mapping for your motor.
New steeper torque maps drew my attention and that's what I want to concentrate on here now. This change will benefit all of us but it will it will be enjoyed most by the trail riders.
Previously if your uphill trail encountered a rise or a hump you pushed the pedal for more power to get over the rise but, this power came with unwanted speed. The result was a lot of pedal pumping when trailriding. These new maps produce more torque with less rpms. The result is a more even ride of rough terrain.
Check it out - I believe these new maps are for all carts across the board.
That's it for now - happy trails.
