Default EZGO TXT Melting the F&R switch

I keep melting the posts on my F&R switch???? I have a 600amp alltrax controller, D&D motor, 48v conversion, 2ga wiring......I replaced the original with a HD one, but still melting.....need help

Read through this thread on what I have to say about these aftermarket HD F&Rs. This guy has been through 3 or 4 of the typical aftermarket heavy duty F&Rs.

You may want to go with a set of solenoids instead of the mechanical FNR switch. scottyb can help you with that.

I would love to send it but - the website says the sw182 heavy duty is for 500a and down controllers and sw202 super duty is for 500a and up controllers. What this means is the sw182 is okay for 500a street carts with stock motors. 500a carts for off road or any cart with aftermarket motor should use the super duty SW202 contactor. This cart with 650a must have the bigger SW202.

No problem, just want to be sure you get the correct 'duty' contactor.
There is a big difference between the 2. Glad we were able to set you up with the super duty contactor kit
