Default Ignition switch to control auxiliary battery and fuse box

I have a 36v 1999 Ezgo txt that I have added an auxiliary 12v battery and a fuse box for my 12v accessories. I'm wanting to connect this setup to my ignition switch so that all of my accessories will be cut off when the ignition switch is off. I have searched several threads and I am not sure how to accomplish this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You will need a 36 volt relay...

Actually, there's two ways.

1. As Teecro said, you wire a 36 v relay off the switch. (The same wire that goes to your controller goes to the relay) The relay switches the 12 v power.

2. The other way is to get a "unique key" ignition switch. It has two seperate circuit positions. The first can be wired to switch the 12v. The second can run the cart.

I have mine done the second way. It's nice for a number of reasons.

Will the "unique key" switch allow the accessories to work while the cart is going as well?

It doesn't have to be a unique key keyswitch, on only has to be a three position keyswitch. Off-On-On with lights.

This is true, but if your going to buy a new switch, might as well get a unique key. Might hinder a cart thief alittle. Also, I might add, you can wire either way. Mine has lights on the first position. (The cart won't move) Then the second position allows the cart to move. (As well as the lights) Can't say there's an advantage, I just liked it like that.

That is what I'd like to do, all accessories on in one, and run ability plus accessories on another, and an off of course...... lol
How about the source for your switch plus a rough diagram..... will be appreciated....
Thanks,
Henri

I thought I bought it on the bay. I just checked my history and I bought three different key switches, but not the one I ended up installing. I must have got it from one of our site sponsors. I don't have a drawing program, but wiring is simple. There's just four terminals.
