Need a little help
Hey everyone. I just started tearing down the golf cart so i could sand and paint the inside the battery/ motor compartment before i put the batteries in. Any way i was getting a feel for where everything went when i came across this green wire in the picture. Im sure its where it needs to be. The problem is the nut is missing on the bolt. So i guess my question is, Is there anything else that needs to go on the same bolt with this green wire. The cart is an 81 ezgo marathon?

Yes, I believe the main batteries 36 VDC + connection goes there. Don't quote me on that. You should locate a wiring schematic to be sure.

I'm assuming you didn't find what you needed in the "sticky's" above ??
Here's one that you might have to open in a different window or save it and open with a picture viewer program that might help, I'm not sure. |

The first one in the sticky should work for you. There are others for that resistor system with a little more clarity. Go here! |

Re: Need a little help
Yes, but my solenoid has 4 points and the one on the diagram looks like it has 2. This diagram looks closer to my cart i guess. What do you guys think.

Re: Need a little help
Both schematics are for the same cart.. One is showing the actual wire/cable routing/connections, while the other is a pictorial locator of all the components.. Nearly all electric cart solenoids have 4 terminals, 2 large high amperage terminals, and 2 low amperage actuating terminals..
