2002 ezgo series cart won't go
Got a 2002 ezgo series without batteries. Put new batteries in it and it will shudder a little but will not move. Put jacks under the back and still, wheels won't move but it seems like they'd like to. Noticed the A2 wire, from the fnr to the motor was getting hot. Replaced with a 4 ga wire and still nothing. Solenoid clicks in forward and reverse but nothing but shudders. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: 2002 ezgo series cart won't go
Do you have a test meter?
1. What is the pack voltage. 2. What is the voltage between controller B- and B+ when the solenoid clicks? And - 3. What is the voltage between controller B- and M- when the solenoid just clicks and what does that reading go down to when the pedal is depressed? |

Re: 2002 ezgo series cart won't go
I'll check when I get home. I'm thinking things are connected at the f/r correctly. The little wire that comes out of the charging receptacle wasn't plugged into anything. I plugged it at the top of the f/r.

Make sure you have power to the F&R micro switch closest to the drivers side.

Re: 2002 ezgo series cart won't go
Ok, pack voltage is 37.7.
I put negative on battery negative and positive on micro switch on FnR and it was 37.7. B- and b+ was 37 when just sitting. Went to 35 when solenoid clicked. B- and m- went to 33.4 when solenoid clicked and when pedal was depressed it went to 23.6. |

I think the problem is in the F&R switch.

Re: 2002 ezgo series cart won't go
Ok, is there any way to test the f&r to know for sure? Am I right to think that the little wire that comes from the charging receptacle attaches to the micro switch?

Re: 2002 ezgo series cart won't go
Update. Replaced forward/reverse. Same thing. With wheels off the ground, reverse works but forward just stutters except for one time. But after it went, started just stuttering again. A1 and A2 cables get real hot.
