Default 2004 E-Z-GO txt will not charge

My '04 batteries are reading full charge (35.5) but when I plug it in it will not charge. Wall outlet works, the charger has power. Where do I start? Thank you!

35.5 if you have 6 6v batteries is about 30%, not sure if you were saying it was supposed to be full charge. Is the charger doing anything? making any noise? how many amps does the charger show if it comes on?

hey,

could be the charger, double check the female receptacle to make sure that checks out. check the male handle on the charger and make sure its ok and contacts are not melted or anything. another issue that happens is sometimes when people plug the male end in they do not fully seat it in the female receptacle. make sure its seated all the way. i also noticed you said the batteries are from 2004? lol I would not rely on them anymore

Thank you for your replies! - The charger makes no noise, does nothing when plugged in (no amps). Steve, I will check the male portion of chargers as suggested. It is an 04 but purchased in 07 as a reconditioned. I will find the battery dates, thx. Much appreciation to both of you!

Just jump the relay on the inside of the charger. If charger is working, that will tell you

some chargers have a minimum voltage they will charge from-you may have to charge the batteries to get the charger to start....this is to protect the charger from killing its self....
