BEFORE YOU START!

Make a parts list of everything you think you will need and get some prices. Post this list in this thread so we all can see if you missed anything. There are very good points brought forth here. Although the frames are the same from electric to gas, there are other items that you're going to need - i.e. rear end, clutches, gas tank, fuel pump, pedal box assembly, throttle cables, choke cable, f/r cables, f/r mechanicals, etc.

well we all like we weld and fab stuff up, thats what we do to pass time. we were going to buy a used go-kart and swap the rear end into the golf cart. we have a HUGE amount of tubeing and sheet metal. so we dong wanna spend TOO much money on the engine, as far as reverse, were not doing it, cuz we are useing it for straight mud bogging. and our version of hard core proble doesnt have the extreme to it like yalls does hahahaha i wish we had the money for a 600cc one, truely, we dont need much more power than that little 36v motor that was in it, just want the noise and a fun project, so what would be one that we could get, new of used, that has just slightly more power than the 36v, and will go slightly faster?

but as far as parts, were pretty much makeing everything from scrap, haha we have alot of time, probly till the end of may or early june before summer starts and we start useing it.

try to find a ATV with motor and rear end that way you have it all. also you will have the front suspension to use later.
