Default How to disable cart when charger is plugged in.. but NOT WITH A REED SWITCH

The title says it all. Is there a way to disable the cart when charger is plugged in.. but NOT WITH A REED SWITCH

My kids use the cart and have forgotten before and end up breaking the receptacle on the body.

The reed switch is so fragile and a pain. There has to be a better way.

I have a 2000 TXT with the Alltrax SR controller.

I always tell people to run the charger cord through the steering wheel before plugging into the cart. That way, they have to notice the charge is plugged in when they go to sit on the cart.

Remove the key and put it on the charge cable near the plug with a clip.

I really need it to be automatic.

The kids put the cart on charge pretty regularly and they will not put it through the steering wheel or remove the key. I'm just saying.

hey,

ok if they wont wrap the cord in the steering wheel then sit the charger on the golf cart floor so its very apparent when they want to drive it

hey,

not quite sure but completely possible. what if you run the cord through the drivers and passengers feet area so if they sit down they cant help but step on the cord so they would know to unplug it and throw it on the ground right?? lol
