Unhappy 2012 RXV 48V Model # 606600G01 - NoGo Intermittently

The reverse buzzer comes on intermittently, even when the switch is in the Forward position. Cart won't move any direction.

Sometimes playing with the switch On/Off/On/Off/On/etc will fix it and then it will run fine for 36 holes of golf.

Then plug it in at home and try to start it up the next day, same ordeal all over again.

Hoping you guys can point me in the right direction for what I should be looking to troubleshoot here. I'm not an electric engineer, so just point me towards what the most likely culprits are and I'll dig in.

Thanks

The obvious thing to suspect is the key switch is beginning to fail, or has moisture in it. Are you in a very wet environment? Where are you located?

These are the 4 wires on the keyswitch...
Yellow is +48V power from the batteries, through inline fuse #1.
Red is Keyswitch On, powers the Controller, pin 1 on both Danaher and Curtis.
Green is Forward, pin 12 on Danaher, pin 22 on Curtis.
White is Reverse, pin 20 on Danaher, pin 33 on Curtis.

Plugging a programming handset in and using monitor input mode, you could check the state of your switches. That's why putting your location in your profile helps. Someone with a handset might be near you.

In my neck of the woods, that points to corrosion in the wire harness. Check wire harness in the area just behind the main negative B- pack connection. Passenger side of the battery pack. You will have to remove the black plastic wire loom cover. Another way to look at it is follow all the small wires from the motor area back into the harness on the passenger side, peel the black wire loom shielding back. Look for discolored wires and "corrosion flakes" on the wires. Also check the wires at the front corners of the battery pack (front left corner & front right corner) where the batteries are just behind the floorboard/footrest area. I have seen nasty corrosion spread all the way down into the gas/brake pedal area. Every customer claims "my cart is totally clean", LOL!, a RXV battery compartment has to be kept very clean, especially if you have a Danaher controller since you cant get that wire harness anymore (mega backorder).
