Motor RPM vs MPH vs Tire height.
Attached is a list of magic numbers by tire height to calculate motor RPM if you know the cart's speed, or the cart's speed if you know the motor's rpm.
Of course, if your differential gears are something other than 12.44:1, the numbers on the chart will be different. For example: If you have 22" tall tires and your cart is going 25MPH, your motor is spinning at 4752 RPM. (25 X 190.07 = 4751.75) Conversely: If your motor is spinning at 4752 RPM and you have 22" tires, your cart is doing 25 MPH. (4752 / 190.07 = 25.001315) When I view the data logs from my XCT controller in a spreadsheet, I add a column next to the motor RPM column and divide the rpm by 245.40 (17.04" tall tires on my cart) to get the cart's speed for each line entry. Hopefully, others will find the information useful. |

Great chart JohnnieB. That Excel sheet looks like you could replace the 12.44 with 10.3 that I have in my cart and get the new data for that ratio. Great job.

However, it would be a disservice to contaminate the EZGO forum with CC data. |

Re: Motor RPM vs MPH vs Tire height.
Note to owners of CC, Yamaha and other brand carts.
Start a thread on the subject in the respective forums and post a link to it here and I'll post charts for the gear ratio(s) those carts have. |

Great chart JohnnieB!
I'm installing a 2 speed rear with 10 to 1 high gear and 20 to 1 low gear. I think several other forum members are running the same rear. Could you make a chart for those ratios also? Thanks! |
