Default 92 ezgo marathon shunt motor

I recently purchased a 92 marathon with an axe controller. The series motor is scrap but I have an opportunity to get a freeby shunt motor that has the f1 f2 contacts. My question is what would be the correct way to wire this new motor since it doesn't have the s1 s2 that it came with.

A shunt motor will not work with the AXE controller. You'll have to change to a sepex control if you use that motor.

That wouldn't work either, because you can't a sepex control with that throttle input from the marathon. You'll need to find a series wound motor.
