Default RXV volt meter and reducer

I have a 2011 rxv, i recently got headlights, usb charger, volt meter and reducer. The volt meter and reducer are from carts unlimited. I am pretty sure the way i am wanting to wire everything is safe, but want confirmation. I am going wire the voltage reducer to the battery packs, then the yellow wire to the keyed side of the solenoid. I am also wanting to wire my voltage reducer to the keyed side of the solenoid, will that be an issue? I am planning on still hooking up to the battery ground. I have a fuse block for the usb and headlights. Should i install a inline fuse from the solenoid to the reducer or the meter? Also, is it ok to mount reducer to the floor of the battery compartment, or mount it up?

Mine is mounted on the floor of the battery compartment and does not have any issues. It collects some dirt and grime from the road, but I just wipe it off from time to time.

Be sure to connect the yellow wire to the keyed large terminal on the solenoid. Never add anything to the small wires on the solenoid.

Thanks for the good info guys, mattadata did you also mount your fuse and ground block to the floor?

Cgtech i have located the large terminal on the solenoid for the yellow wire from the reducer, would it cause any issues to tie my DVM in with that terminal as well?

No fuse block for me....yet. I have one large fuse coming of the pack. The voltage reducer has an inline fuse.

No problem, as long as you want the meter off with key off.
