just put a red dot on a club car DS for an older lady ,... it was very ez to install and she loves it

as for warmth it will help keep the wind out but has no insulation value
if you need warmth get a small 12v heater

Red Dot Enclosures can be in either vinyl or Sunbrella. And, they're manufactured about one mile from my shop. I can get any color and style you're interested in. Let me know if you'd like pricing.

Thanks.

Red Dot and TampaG are both now owned by Nivel (have been for awhile).

The nice thing about them is they can be made of Vinyl or Sunbrella , they can be made as either an Over the Top style or a track style (including the chameleon style that allows you to change the valance without changing the whole enclosure) and they can be made with either the hooks or the snaps to hold them down.

Yes, they bought Tampa G in December of 2010 and Red Dot in July of 2012. I worked for Red Dot for 4 years and then under Nivel for 2 and a half years. They don't really use the Tampa G name or design/style anymore. Everything is pretty much branded Red Dot now, since about a year ago.

The other great thing about them is the options for the back of the enclosure to include full back, straight back, wrap around back, and ultra-seal.

They actually still make the Tampa G style, you just have to specifically ask for it. I like the Tampa G style because when adding mirrors to the front roof support on the Tampa G version, I drill and bolt through plastic and the steel/aluminum roof support as opposed to the Red Dot style with the fabric wrapped around the roof support and having to drill through the fabric. I have always worried about the fabric unraveling based on drilling the hole through it..... It's a minor concern, but it is still a concern.

The other issue I have with the Red Dot style is that I rarely have the zipper for the front sleeve actually zip all the way closed. Seems like there is always an inch or 2 at the bottom the simply refuses to come together.......

Yes, they do still make them. We get the Tampa G style a lot, too, for the same reasons. They just aren't marketing/branding them anymore. It's more like the Tampa G style Red Dot enclosure...lol.

Amocatt 00, yes, definitely interested in pricing. Not sure weather I'm going with the straight back or the type that covers the golf clubs. Also not sure of I want track or OTT.
I have one of the fold down club rain covers on the cart now but I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it on the cart or not. (It's green and I want to go with Blue.) If I keep it on he cart I guess I'll need track style with straight back. If not I would want an OTT in the type that covers the clubs also. As far as the type that zips up on the roof supports...Most of my golf buddies have them and really like them. So, I prefer the zip type also. So bottom line is that I need a price on an OTT 3 sided and a track style with straight back. Both in Navy Blue with a Fancy striped top awnings. Either would be with hooks as opposed to snaps. 2002 txt
