92 ezgo electric batteries
Hey guys . I recently got a ezgo from my brother that has been changed over to a 3. 12 volt batteries instead of the 6volt and 2 of those are dead. Now I would like to go back to the 6volt but the battery tray was rusted out and he opted to weld together a tray for the 12 volt instead so the sixes will no longer fit. My question is that I do not want to spend an arm and a leg for 3 new batteries but I no nothing about what I should be looking for and would appreciate some help. Maybe a brand or something that would be a little cheaper. I will not be using this cart all the time just occasionally. Thanks

Re: 92 ezgo electric batteries
Don't go with 3 12V! Go with 6 6V! Get or make a new tray if it's rusted out.

Re: 92 ezgo electric batteries
This has already been answered in your last thread on this subject...
The proper solution would be to get six 6-volt GOLF CART batteries and if you absolutely must take the incorrect path to get to 36 volts then do so with three 12-volt GOLF CART batteries and accept that you will get sub-par range and a general lack of performance... No one here is going to tell you to buy anything less than GOLF CART or COMMERCIAL DEEP CYCLE batteries as auto and marine batteries simply do NOT last in this application.... |

Re: 92 ezgo electric batteries
TEERCO IS 100% correct, I recommend you go with 6 Trojan T-105 batteries, a set at my store are $713.94, this will give you a ballpark on the price. DO NOT i repeat DO NOT use anything other then golf cart or Commercial deep cycle, you can save money at the local "battery warehouse" but you will be back in a year or two. Trojans typically go 5-7 years depending on use. they also sell bolt in aluminum battery trays to replace your rusted out one. Good luck
