Default Led strip lights

With Halloween fast approaching, my neighborhood has a lot of golf cart out for the evening.

I decided to buy some led strip lights to put under the cart for some fun.

Got everything on today, the biggest problem is there really is no where underneath the cart to zip the strips on.

I could have zip tied to the frame rail, but that rail is more like 8 to 10 inches toward the center of the cart.

I ended up using some scotch dual fasters...kind of like Velcro, but stronger.

Only real concern is if it will stick when it gets wet.

Anyone tried this and have suggestions?

Velcro stays together when it gets wet unless there is soap/detergent or other lubricant in the water, so similar products ought to do the same.

I'm interested in doing that also. Can you tell me where you got the strips?

Thanks

I went with the Magic Led Bluetooth controller.

Multi color RGB led strip light SMB 5050 by Surlight.

Got both the controller and strip lights on Amazon. I also found some waterproof connectors that snap on the end of the strip...no soldering needed.

I ended up using the scotch dual fasteners and used some industrial glue to glue the fasteners to the light strips.

Most of the strips just have some 3M sticky tape on the light strip...I figured under a golf cart is pretty harsh conditions with rain and dirt.

Wish I could have found a good place to zip tie them underneath, but I thought they would be too far towards the center of the cart and i wanted the illumination to be more outward.

We will see how the industrial glue holds up...

Here is the link to Amazon for the led strip lights that I did.

The link URLs were really long, so I created a tinyURL.

Here are the strip lights

Here are the connectors

I will try to get some photos and post tomorrow.

The Bluetooth Led Controller was one that a local automotive shop suggested...and I found it on Amazon.

So after using it for a day...

I installed the App on my android phone. Works in iPhone as well.

You basically connect to the Led Controller by turning on your Bluetooth and starting the App on your phone...the app I downloaded from the Google App store.

The app has a color wheel so you can change the color to pretty much whatever you want.

There are also some preset functions that kinda do a light show with your colored strips. Lots of presets or you can create your own.

There is also a disco mode, so you can play music on your phone and it will blink and change colors to the music. I also have a Bluetooth speaker in my cart and i connect to both the speaker and the led controller at the same time.

The App apparently has the ability to control more than one of these led controllers so you can have different programs running for different strips of lights. I only have one controller, but you could go crazy with it.

The other thing that is helpful is when you turn on the controller...it goes back to the last color setting you were using.

I have the Bluetooth Controller wired into the same switch for my front / rear lights. When I turn on the front and rear lights on my cart, the led controller turns on and you will see it as an option to connect on your mobile phone.

that looks like the same setup I installed on the wife's cart roof and windshield, I used 2 rolls of it.
She saw it on another cart in the park so it was a oneupmanship type thing

If it's the red 3M automotive tape it should work fine as long as the area is clean and degreased. Automotive manufactures use that stuff to hang emblems, body cladding, door protection strips, Etc. and it stays on for the life of the cars and trucks (surprisingly I know).
