have a 1992 ezgo elect,solenoid clicks and at times motor turns over for appox 10-30 seconds then nothing ,batteries full of charge and in good condition
.
does anyone know if the f&r switch is grounded to body or just thru the battery cables to controller

there are no chassis grounds on an electric golf cart...all grounds run to batteries

thanks for fast reply
how is the best way to test the solenoid without shorting out electical components
know how on are car,but not sure on cart

Assuming cart is in non-running condition.

Jack up cart and put rear axle on jack stands.
With key on, FNR in gear, use a min 6ga jumper between large posts on solenoid. Put jumper on one post, press accelerator slightly to engage micro then touch jumper to other large post. If motor spins (wheels turn) then likely it is a bad or failing solenoid.

Help Again
Cart On Jacks,jumped Solenoid,and Nothing Do Not Even See A Spark When Jumping The Solenoid. Could We Have A Bad Connection .
How Does The Power Work Bat Cable Goes To Solenoid Then From Solenoid
Too? Do Not Know The Name Of This Part[power Pack]??
Do Not Have A Break Down On Parts Description Names

I think you are referring to the controller.

Here is a diagram and a schematic. Does it resemble your cart?

Time to break out the meter and begin tracing, testing, and confirming the wiring.

you got it thats the cart set up,got the cart owner to take all cables off and clean them
and go from there,i think he has a bad connections somewhere,so go to work
will let you know what happens, my cart runs!!

thanks FOR THE HELP
CLEANED TERMINALS CONTROLLER FNR AND WIRES TO SOLENOID NOW WE
HAVE POWER TO THE MOTOR AND WHEELS TURN, NOW WITH THE FNR CONTROLLER
WE ONLY HAVE FOWARD NO REVERSE,BAD SWITCH? THERE ARE 2 IN THE CONTROLLER
ANYONE KNOW BEST WAY TO TEST OR BYPASS THEM FOR TO SEE IF 1 IS BAD
