Default Power issue and Model help :help:

Hey guys, I've read some of the stickys before creating this thread... so heres my issues...(btw this is not my first cart but I am stumped...)

im getting 35/36v across the whole pack... Whoever had it before me installed an on an off switch, and removed the key switch, they also installed lights and tied it in the key switch.

When you turn the power switch on you get power to the lights and solenoid...

However -The cart will not go forward or backwards... the F/n/R switch doesn't seem to be touched at all...

THE CART WILL NOT DRIVE AT ALL - it does sound the back-up alarm when put into reverse... but it will not move... it will not move Forward either...

PICS COMING SOON

even if you hear a solenoid "click" does not mean it is engaging
test it

How do I test it and how many volts should I get at the key / on-off switch?

solenoid test
Quote:
Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery. remove all wires, restorer , and diode from solenoid
test 1
Connect an volt meter, set on continuity, place on the two large terminal studs. The meter should indicate no continuity, Replace the solenoid if continuity is present.
test 2
Using jumper wires attach from main positive and main negative of battery pack to the two small solenoid studs, polarity is not important. You should hear a click as the solenoid engages, and the meter should indicate continuity on the two large terminals. Replace the solenoid if continuity is not present.
if solenoid clicks rapidly solenoid is bad

key would be 36v +
