Default 95 ezgo txt...not running...solenoid clicks

I have a 95 ezgo txt I'm working on, im getting solenoid to click and cart will run intermittently...if I hold the pedal and cycle the micro switch on the pedal a couple times I can get it to run...it has the 4 lug series controller...controller has been sent off and tested and it's good, new throttle sensor, new micro switch, new f/r switch, new solenoid and resistors...I'm stumped so far...checked over wiring diagrams and everything seems to check out ok..motor has been tested also and is good...before hitting the pedal have 38.3 volts to controller B+....after I hit the pedal it drops to 0 volts...not sure if that might have something to do with it...any help is greatly appreciated

cart will not run if controller B+ goes to 0v. When controller B+ goes to 0v does the big post on the solenoid (this is where the controller B+ cable goes) go to 0v also ?

Check all the connections and cables. That sounds like a bad connection somewhere causing the voltage to drop when a load is applied.

The B+ from the battery to the solenoid shows 38 volts but the solenoid to controller side drops to 0 volts and I've also noticed the B+ to f/r switch, when I unhook it I'm getting 36v on controller then but the f/r switch is back feeding negative voltage they the B+ wire...it makes me wonder if I have high current wires right on f/r switch or if there's a short in motor...what throws me off is motor tested fine

And scottyb, I haven't tested voltage right at solenoid on controller side, I did check it on the controller B+ and it drops to 0, will check on solenoid post shortly

After you try to go, do you still have 38v on the b+ at the battery pack and drops to 0 at b+ on controller correct? That looks like a bad solenoid. Remove the resistor from the large post and check continuity between the large post when you try to go.

Yes sir, when it's at rest there is 36v on controller side of solenoid, when pedal is depressed it drops to 0v at solenoid, when I unhook the wire from the solenoid to controller B+ it shows 36v on solenoid post when pedal is depressed...the wire coming from b+ on controller has negative voltage the whole time

When I unhook controller B+ from f/r switch I have positive voltage when pedal is depressed then, f/r switch is back feeding negative voltage thru the B+ post when pedal is depressed
