Default Installing an 80" Pro-Fit extended roof

Hello fellas, I just received my extended 80" roof to install in my 2013 TXT. It doesn't come with pre drilled holes and the instructions are not all that great.

Any tips from anyone out there that has installed this roof or any other with no holes for me for installation tomorrow?

Any feedback is much appreciated.

It's been awhile but I remember having to drill holes in the roof frame for the rear for sure.... think the front was pre-drilled and I either used the rear support to mark holes or drilled through the rear support holes to drill the top.

There are many different rear supports so I think that is why they don't pre-drill

Agreed. So many different rear seat kits, many with different mounting points for the rear roof struts, so whatever holes they would have predrilled probably wouldn't match up anyway. Best I can suggest is to test fit, mark your holes and take it back off to drill. On roofs that use an inner rail I lay a steel plate between the rail and the plastic of the roof so I don't accidentally drill through something I don't intend to. Besides drilling your own holes means you can adjust your front and rear overhangs to suit your own tastes.

Yea the instructions were iffy but I was able to get the measurements correctly and mounted the front struts and screwed in the front first, then was able to to mock up the rear with the supplied struts.

Came out good, I'll post pics tomorrow cause of the **** summers rains in miami... in november.
