Default upgrading wiring-lost power

I have upgraded the wiring to the motor and most the wiring to the resistors. When I ran out of battery lugs, I decided to give 'er a test-NOTHIN'! (I am upgrading the battery wires also)

I got out the test light. I have power in/out of the F&R switch, when I tested the +/- through the charger port I have power there also. I only have power on the 3rd lug back on the motor from the resistors, (none on the front 2). It seems to me that I power to the motor, but not through it.

The last comment brings me to believe that I may have messed up something inside the motor. When I went to change the wire on the first lug on the motor, I wasn't paying attention and was clackin' away on the rachet when I finally realized the the lug was spinning (lock nut didn't hold). Could that spinning split a wire or something?

Any suggestions are appreciated as I am an electrical moron.:

I'm afraid so... The spinning will break the wire off on the inside....

Thanks, I have a buddy that used to work on fork-lifts. I will take the motor off and see if he can fix-not in my budget to get another motor.

Unfortunate for roach but brings to light a very good point when maintaining or working on the motors.

ALWAYS use a wrench to "back up" the nuts on the motor when removing the cables.

Sorry for your misfortune.

Yeah, I love learnin' the hard way.

Taking the motor off and bringing to work next Monday to tear apart and fix. My friend is going to be around to make sure I don't mess anything else up.

Some fall right off, others require atomic energy.
