Default TXT Leaf Springs

I have a TXT DCS cart and will replace the rear leaf springs.

Not sure if I am saying this correctly, but the current spring on each side has 2 leafs.

The dual action leaf that purchased has 3.

My cart has a ubolt for the leaf...it is a non lifted cart.

Do I need different ubolts to put on the new dual leaf springs?

Thx

Look at your existing u-bolts installed on your cart. Is there sufficient thread showing past the nut to allow the thicker 3-leaf spring to be installed? If not, you need new u-bolts.

skip, where did you order your springs, would also like to know how they perform once you get them on. I am going to add a rear seat for occasional use but don't want to put plain HD springs on due to rough ride.

I took advantage of a free shipping offer on buggiesunlimited.

I am going to measure height on old leaf springs and see if there is any difference in height with the new ones.

I read somewhere that new leaf springs might give you another inch or two of height... Mainly from the old ones being worn out. We will see.

To be honest...I am not sure my current leaf springs are worn out, but I did add a rear seat and thought why not upgrade the leaf springs as well.

I will post my feedback.

I am doing the leaf upgrade in preparation of putting on new low profile wheels around Christmas.

I love the RedHawk HD leaf springs, on the TXT, such an improvement over the stock. You should see some additional height added.

Watch that shoulder bolt in the front, 3/4" head that loves to strip out if worn, rusted, or if too much torque.

Which HD Red Hawk rear spring do you love? They make 3 models. SPN-2031, SPN 2004, SPN-2018.

After a few weeks of the dual rear leaf springs... I can say they are great.

The driver side lean is gone and the leafs did raise the cart up an inch or two. My old rear leafs were really worn out.

At the time I put on my new 20 inch tires and that raises it another inch.

I have some new front leafs to put on... Will do those next.

I helped my neighbor do his fronts and rear leafs... He had the same amount of lift on his cart.
