Angry Turn signals backwards

Hey everyone I'm new here and fairly new to carts as I'm trying to install a "deluxe" light kit on my mom's 2001 ezgo txt 36v.

The kit itself seems nice but the instructions are awful. The issue I'm having is that the turn signals are backwards on front and rear. It's a reconpro amazon kit. I'm sorry if this has been a beat down thread but I just need to know how to fix it.

Thank you guys so much in advance!!

I'm not familiar with those kits, can you post a link?

Typically for Ezgo anyway, a yellow wire off the turn signal is for Front left, follow that wire to where it plugs in and see if the wire it plugs into is going towards the pass left. If so and the kit allows, switch it. Let us know.

How do I just switch the wires? Sorry maybe I'm over thinking it!

Mine was the same way. Don't remember where I got it at an, I got it before I found BGW site. If you instructions said to install it down the passenger side of the cart, we probably have the same kit. I had to take mine back out and run it down the drivers side so when you filled the turn signal lever it would blink on the correct side. My name as was too short to just swap sides on the harness.

Sorry I missed that first sentence about posting the link. And I just tried replying with the link but I'm too new to the site so it won't let me. It is the reconpro deluxe halogen light kit set on amazon. It's one of the first kit that pop up on there for the txt.

And on this kit it says "working from the drivers side, and centered between the first pair of batteries and the frame of the cart, begin feeding harness with the switch end first through that space and toward the floor"

The instructions are absolutely horrible. It says nothing about installing the horn and also the size drill bits it says to use is way off. Just a bad experience. But you get what you pay for and I'm getting it! Ha

Yes that is the exact one! It's a known problem if you read the reviews on it to but there's no fix from factory apparently.

I just installed that exact light kit and had the same issues. the hole the directions told me to drill was too small , and we all know that when using a 1-1/8th paddle bit after using a smaller one is never fun so i used my new multi purpose tool and squared off the corners. Even after cutting that hole the **** wires were too short to hide the connector, now the lever is lower on the column than it should be .I had to guess on what wire was the horn. Then the left and right turn signals were backwards so I had to run the wires where i wouldn't usally run them in order to maximize the length( especially towards the rear). It was a little tricky but they reached . Other than that everything else went fine. LOL Good luck and have fun with your cart.

Yes I'm having all the same exact issues! They also didn't give to 2 plastic retainers needed to put the ignition switch plate back on so I might have to screw it or actually go to a store to find them. What did you use?

And so what you did is pretty much just flip the harness around? I thought about doing that but then I wouldn't think the stupid brake light switch would reach. Guess I should try it if it worked for you!
