Default Alltrax XCT DCS resistor/diode question.

I just want to confirm that the XCT DCS needs a diode and resistor. I think some PDS controls have them built in. Just want to make sure, the old curtis control didn't hands either one.
Thanks!

Default Re: Alltrax XCT DCS resistor/diode question.

I posted a service bulletin about this - The Engineers at Alltrax realized that most people were not installing the much needed voltage suppression diode so they decided to build it into the control. I was told all of the XCT controls produced in the last year do not need the solenoid COIL diode.

They do however, need the Regen Diode for the big main current terminals supplied with each control.

Thanks Scotty! I thought I read that somewhere, but couldn't remember, I should have dug a little deeper. How about the resistor?

The resistor is not needed on the XCT. The precharge has always been internal with the XCT control.

Both the resistor and the diode are needed on the SR controls.
