Default Ezgo Front Leaf Springs

Got my rear leafs changed out...

I had purchased the front leafs and trying to do those as well.

I had posted a message thread previously and was told the bolts for the front leafs are under the floor mat and to remove the chrome sill and lift the floor mat.

I took the chrome sill plate off and looks like the mat goes under the rocker panel as well.

Can you pull the floor mat up without removing the rocker panel? The mat seems real stiff.

I have read messages on the forum the front's were easier. Unless I am over thinking this, they seem harder to do.

Thx

You should be able to slide the mat out without having to completely remove the rocker panel. When I did mine, I removed the metal sill plate and used a flathead under the rocker between the mat to get a little slack on the mat and then you can slide/pull it out from there.

I am guessing I am going to have to get a wrench on the bolts under the floor mat. I would have no such luck that 6 bolts would not require a wrench when getting the nuts off.

When replacing the front leafs... Should I replace the bolts and nuts at the same time?

When I replace my rear leafs...I snapped a ubolt and it was not something I could find on a weekend. Had to run one down at a ezgo dealer...ended up replacing all of them just because it was not a lot of money to buy extra ubolts once I found them.

Anything special about the front leaf spring bolts?
