Default 99 TXT Front Spindle questions

I was able to hammer out the front kingpin sleeve today, in preparation for painting the front axle, and replacing the front bearings. Thanks to whomever posted the idea to use a socket and hammer to knock it out. My questions are these, as I have seen conflicting info.

These spindles came with a zerk fitting, which I have heard subsequently have been discontinued. (Pic 1). Inside the race, there appears to be some rust. (Pic 2)

Also, there appears to be an additional bearing inside the spindle, in which the spindle pin (Kingpin) tube rides. (Pic 3) Parts manual shows it as 16623-G1, but according to EZGO, it is only used on carts with front hydraulic brakes.

"BRONZE BEARING
This Bearing is an essential component in the assembly of parts used in front suspension, spindle and hub installations and front/rear axle service. This part is used primarily on 1989-2005 E-Z-GO Gas & Electric Models and Industrial Vehicles. This is a bronze sleeve bearing that is used on the front spindle area ONLY for vehicles with front hydraulic brakes.
Item # 16623G1"

Should I try to knock out these bronze bearings and replace them, or let it ride? The original kingpin part shows a bolt that appears to have a middle section cut away, at the point that looks like matches up to the position of the zerk. Also, it shows a hole drilled for a cotter pin in the lower threads. The bolts that were installed with the lift kit were straight up 1/2" shoulder bolts. Also, should I remove the zerk and plug the hole, since no grease can reach the kingpin inside the sleeve?

More simply, how would you techs and/or those that have done this, reassemble this spindle? I have new kingping sleeve, kingpin bolt, washers and stop nuts, along with new thrust washers on hand.

Last, I had to use a 3' breaker bar and a 5 lb sledge to get the freaking lug nuts off, should I replace the lug bolts? (Pic 4) If so, do I just hammer out the old ones and hammer in new?

Thanks!

#1--Zerk fittings are a good thing.

#2--Rust. Rust is generally a bad thing. You should be able to wipe out the rust that appears to be mixed in with the grease that's in there? I would suspect the rust formed from from moisture....or driving thru water. Who would drive a cart thru water deep enough to submerge the king pin? I wouldn't be concerned about that.

#3--The bronze bearing. If your new one's fit with it left in.....leave it in. (On amateur's opinion.) When these carts were built, they likely put the bearing in 'em all on the assembly line even if they didn't get brakes. Easy to just put in the cheap bronze ring than figure out later if it did\didn't and then retrofit.

#Lug Bolts--If your new bolts go on easy....then don't replace the lug bolts. I'd put some anti-seize on 'em. Lug bolts don't need to be torqued at a zillion lbs. OTOH, if the threads are ruined.......then you will have to replace 'em.

# Wear out your welcome?-- If that were true, they would have tossed me off years ago!!

A real expert will be along to provide much better answers. Once they see that I have posted advice, they will first roll their eyes.....the come and give you "proper" answers. Yeah......happens all the time.
