Led headlights
I have a light kit already installed, and just purchased a 12v reducer, instead of pulling from 2 6v batteries the way the previous owner had set it up. I want to swap the halogen headlights for leds, but want to avoid buying the whole all led kit. The current halogens are sealed beam. Is there a way I can purchase the headlights alone?
Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Led headlights
Pull the bulbs and google if the bulb has a led equivalent. The cheaper the bulb the less output in lumens.
I thought about doing these https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...wer/2265/5148/ $15 a bulb so $30 Or https://www.amazon.com/JDM-ASTAR-Ext.../dp/B00NJ9MZH0 Also $30 I also don't have the cut in lights so not sure if you have a 889 bulb. I want to get the cut in and led tail lights which a kit runs $80 and I can just swap wires. |

Re: Led headlights
Unfortunately they are sealed beams, no bulbs to insert.

Re: Led headlights
If they are the normal standard cut ins that bulb is replaceable. You have to take the housing apart to get them out but I think they are H1 or H3s..

$79.99 and its plug n play. You could probably sell your used headlight and tail lights and recover some of the cost and its much less hassle with led all around |

Re: Led headlights
I've not had any luck with those led headlights. I had a set that wasn't very bright from the beginning then each led started burning out one by one. I switched back to halogen. I also had to do the same thing for a friend.

By those, do you mean specifically the RecPro linked above, or LED in general? |
