Battery issue maybe
I have a 36 volt txt.
The pack is just over 1 year in age. Water levels have always been checked and never run below 70 percent state of Charge. My kid took the cart out and ran it down to around 50 percent state of charge. I put it on the charger and it has been running for 14 hours or so on the charger. When first plugged in the amps where running high as I have always noticed right after plugging it in. The volts after 14 hours is currently 44.6 and the amps on the charger are down to around 4. Does this sound like the pack was damaged? Seems like the charger has been running forever. It has always turned off around 45.6. If it turns off, should I restart the charging cycle again? Any feedback would be helpful. Thx Skip Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

Re: Battery issue maybe
Seems about right
Should shut off in another couple hours Check pack volts after charger shuts off for about 12 hours or so If ok, no need to start a charging cycle till after its run a bit Charger should shut off when batts fully charged just leave it plugged in, Mine is typically plugged all the time, in when not in use |

Re: Battery issue maybe
Just seems like this last volt need to get to 45.6 to get the charger to turn off is taking an extremely long time.
I do hear the batteries boiling or gassing. I think that is a good thing? Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

Re: Battery issue maybe
So the power wise charger did turn off around 44.7.
It used to turn off around 45.5 Would running the battery pack down to around 50 percent state of charge change when the powerwise charger turns off? I read this charger turns off between 44 and 46...So it is within the range. But seems like it changed. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

Re: Battery issue maybe
skip....your ok.....and it wouldn't hurt anything to reinitiate the charge cycle.....I have dine that myself after doing a deep discharge.

Re: Battery issue maybe
I thought the Powerwise charger turns off at a preset voltage of between 44 and 45 volts. In my case it was 45.6
What would cause the charger to now turn off at 44.7 ? Will a powerwise charger turn itself off if the pack can't take anymore of a charge? Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

Re: Battery issue maybe
Put the voltmeter up for a few days. Everything is probably OK.

Re: Battery issue maybe
I believe there is also a timer in that charge circuit that shuts it off after like 14 hours. Hit it with another charge and see if your voltage comes back up..

2. Either the components in the voltage comparator on the charger's control board have abruptly changed in value, or the the voltage being sensed between the red and black wires attached to the control board are no longer the same as the voltage between the battery pack's main terminal, if it ever was. 3. No. It shuts off when the on-charge voltage, as sensed between the red and black wires on the control board, reaches about 45V, regardless of the battery pack's SOC. |

Re: Battery issue maybe
Charger shut off 13 hours ago and the Scottyb volt meter reads 39.6
Does that sound about right or okay for a battery pack? Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |
