2003 Ezgo 36v PDS will not move
2003 Ezgo Pds 36volt
Brand new Trojan batteries No movement at all. No reverse beep Power to both sides of Solenoid with no click in any situation. 2 small terminals do not have power I'm currently at the key switch and no power to either of the white wires at the key switch. What's next?? 38.4+ volts to solenoid. Also power to separate terminals on the F&R switch depending on the placement of switch. Should I have power to both sides of solenoid? I have not attempted to look at peddle switch and unable to jump the solenoid to get a click. Thanks!! |

You must have power to the key switch. Seems you might have a small wire still disconnected from the battery install.

Re: 2003 Ezgo 36v PDS will not move
All I did was undo the cables associated with the battery install. Also checked the reed switch and reading full pack voltage. Guess I need to trace down the key switch wires to see where I'm losing power. Where does key switch wiring connect? Solenoid or controller? Thanks Scotty
What voltage should I have at the Key switch? Just so that I'm correct...postive on battery pack goes to large solenoid terminal closer to pack and negative on battery pack goes to B- on controller...how do I test Tow\Run switch to make sure it's working. |

The key switch should have pack voltage.

Re: 2003 Ezgo 36v PDS will not move
Thanks. I will check it first thing in the morning. Is the key switch second in route of power behind the reed switch? Meaning if I don't have power at J1 8 & 9...what could prevent the flow of power to the key switch?

Yes - it must have power at pin 9 when power to pin 4 or the controller has failed

Re: 2003 Ezgo 36v PDS will not move
Ok what I have found:
J1 10 pin. All wires at controller have pack voltage EXCEPT White/yellow key switch wires J3 Run/Tow has pack volt in a Run J4 only has power on white wire and it's 14.4 volts. What's next? Why don't I have power to key switch from the controller? Thanks |

Didn't see your response before I posted. How else can I verify that the controller is bad before I order the Alltrax from ya, Scotty

Re: 2003 Ezgo 36v PDS will not move
I have the same voltage on either side of my solenoid.
How can I test my controller to make sure it's failed. I've read the sticky and want to make sure I'm correct. The new controller will come with new solenoid so not so worried about that. |
