Default Nothing more than a click

I have a 2008 RXV. When I turn the key on to N, it makes the click sound. When you select F or R nothing happens when you depress accelerator. Also, when you put it in Tow Mode, the cart will not free wheel. Batteries are good shape and charged up. It just quit working, luckily at home. Thanks!

Was the key on when you switched the run/tow switch to tow? It needs to be on to apply power to the motor brake circuit.

First thing to check is the actual voltage of your battery pack, to make sure it is fully charged. Then check the fuses under the caps that are attached to the plastic cover over the controller. Next, check the run plug on the bottom of the cupholder assembly... remove and reinstall it a couple of times to wipe the connections. If none of that helps...

Unplug the 2 wire connection to the motor brake, at the driver side end of the motor. Connect a voltmeter to the sockets in the harness plug and check the voltage at the harness when just the key is on, and again when the key is on and the run/tow switch is switched to tow. If you have pack voltage there, run an ohms test on the motor brake socket in a low ohms range. The spec is 25.5 to 28 ohms for the motor brake coil.

I found the problem. There is a large group of wires that plugs into the controller. About 10" below that plug one of the wires was chewed completely through. Cut the chewed up section out, 2 butt connectors later, on the road again. Thanks to BobBoyce for his help on this one.
