Default power wise charger only charges at 2-3 amps ???

power wise charger only charges at 2-3 amps ??? any ideas on how to troubleshoot my charger . thx Jon

Usually when a charger doesn't produce amperage it is because of a bad capacitor. You will need a capacitor meter to test it.

X2. I got a cheap "you solder it up" transistor tester that checks caps also. Now I have a "tested number" to see. It's amazing. Like he said, it's likely a bad cap. And we can usually tell right off the bat. It's so nice to put a number on why it's crap in seconds. (as opposed to the old unreliable voltmeter test & try a new cap). Super handy when we do it everyday.

Just had the same thing happen to mine. Took it apart and the wire was barely connected to one end of the capacitor. Replaced the end and now its good.
