Default Question on new dpi charger

Mine came this afternoon!
Two questions so far...
The light in the rxv charging reciprocal doesn't blink like it did with the old controller
And
The volt meter on the charger was on when I left home tonight but when I got home, it was at 0. I unplugged it from the cart and plugged it back in and it looked like the meter was moving up again.
Are these normal?

The fact that is was at ZERO is normal, as once the charging cycle is done, and the GREEN Charged light is on the charger is in maintain mode and the amount of "trickle" charge is so minor it won't show up on the meter, but be assured it does. But once you unplugged the charger and plugged it back in, it automatically went back into charge mode which is why the meter started going up again.

Thanks Nuke!
Is it normal that the charging port light doesn't come on?

that part I can't know for sure as I'm not versed on RXV's.....just the DPI charger. one of the others that have an RXV and a DPI will be able to answer that for you.....

1. I'm not sure how the old charger managed to turn on the LED in the charge receptacle, so I don't know why the DPI doesn't, but I suspect it is somehow related to the third pin, which the DPI doesn't use.

2. The meter is and ammeter rather than a voltmeter.
Should read about 5A while yellow "Detection" LED is blinking, climb up to around 18A when Yellow "Charging" LED comes on.
Stays at about 18A until the on-charge voltage reaches about 56.4V (if set for Trojan batteries) and then amps start to decrease.
When the pack reaches 80-90% charged, the Green LED also comes on.
When the batteries are fully charge, the Yellow LED turns off and the Green LED stays on, meaning the charger is now in the float charge mode.
In float charge, the max on-charge voltage reached will gradually decline to about 52.5V, where it will stay until charge is unplugged.
The voltage is above the at-rest voltage for 100% SoC and below the gassing voltage, so the batteries can be kept there almost indefinitely with minimal aging effects.

The light in the receptacle is not supported by the Dpi charger.
