New tire recomendations
I have an older 36 Volt Workhorse 1000 series utility cart with an electric dump bed. Its time for a complete new set of tires, and I'm looking for recommendations. The cart has been very dependable, and is well suited for the tasks required. Here are typical conditions it will face and how I Use it.
2. I live in Florida with mostly flat, sandy soil, and a few occasional wet spots (1 to 2 inches of sink) that give my cart a hard time with spinning tires. It has been able to get through the mud, but complains and takes a while. It hasn't required a winch to get out of yet, but it was close. 3. I have 21 acres with a hobby grove of around 200 varieties of rare fruit trees. The cart is typically used for jobs associated with property upkeep. I occasionally carry fairly heavy loads. 4. I use the cart mainly off road, with the occasional visit to neighbors. 5. Cost is a factor, 'will work very well" at a decent price is better than "unstoppable" at a huge premium. 5. I doubt it needs a lift kit to get around, but I'll consider it if needed to accommodate the recommended tires. |

Half way between Arcadia and Punta Gorda!
Best of both, and worst of neither. |

Re: New tire recomendations
Punta Gorda is actually very nice since it was rebuilt after Hurricane Charlie. Its just a little expensive to live there.

Re: New tire recomendations
I don't know who Gina is, but if she or anyone else on this forum, has some input on other brands/types of cart tires to recommend, I would appreciate it. The Sahara can't be the only tires that are good for my purposes.

Re: New tire recomendations
I have these on my lifted 99 TXT. It's a Sporting Clays cart, used on several courses from Jacksonville to St Augustine to Bradford Sportsman's Farm. I also use it to drive on paved roads to the beach, and have used it lightly on hard pack sand. Pro-fit tires and wheels. They are directional and come in left and right hand versions. 22" tall, 22 PSI.
