Default AMD Thick can motor rewind?

I have a 91 marathon with the stock AMD motor in it, I guess its the thick can style, the label is worn.
I get 20 mph on flat right now but slow down on hills a bit, I would like to stay close to 20 on the hills.

Is this a good motor to send to plum quick for the Bandit service, Or is there a better core motor to have done?

Or is there a better option all together?
I'm not sure if I will pull the trigger just wanted to do a little research

The AMD thick can will handle heat better than the thin can GE with the Bandit upgrade. Your speed will of course increase overall, but I couldn't help you with what kind of speed you'd maintain on inclines.

All carts slow down going uphill. The taller the tires, the more it slows going uphill.

If your cart's differential gear ratio is 12.44:1 (I'm not sure what the gear ration of a 1991 Marathon is), with 23" tall tires the motor is only spinning at about 3600RPM at 20 MPH, so a standard speed motor with higher torque is needed.

Typically, this is accomplished by using a longer can to increase overall torque while being wound for standard speed, but from the looks of the clearances in the pictures, I'm not sure a longer motor will clear the rear shock.

Get out the measuring tape and find out how long of a motor can be installed, then call PQ and EMP and others to find out what is available or can be built.
